Family Ministries Update
HAPPY NEW YEAR Faith Families,
2026 is here, and it feels like a dream. How did it get here so fast? I pray you all had a blessed Christmas and a happy new year when you read this. For me it is a blessing to be in my new home with my family. It still sometimes doesn't feel real that we have our own home. So, what does 2026 bring for you, me and the world? Well, honestly only God knows, and that is so reassuring for me. If it was left up to me to figure out, the world would be walking into a room saying, "What did I come in here for? or OH CRUD MY NEWSLETTER IS WAY PAST DUE, AGAIN!" So thank goodness it is in God's hands. All kidding aside, I personally don't make "New Year's resolutions." For me it feels like I am setting myself up for failure because I know I am NOT going to follow through with whatever "IT" might be. What I prefer to do is set small goals for myself along with Big ideas, and then work on them. I know it seems like the same, but it's really not, or at least in my silly head they are different.
So what are you planning to do for 2026?
Here are a few things coming to Faith Families for 2026:
- Movie Night @ Faith
- Family Indoor Campout (in the gym)
- Feed My Starving Children outing
- Learning about the Parables that Jesus taught in Sunday School
- VBS
- Beach day at Cedar Lake, then BBQ @ the Steenvoorden's new Home (summer activity)
- Arts Alive beginning in February
- Bowling Party

We can't forget our normal Connect January 11th 12:00-1:30 and Family Fun January 25th 12:00-1:30.
So I pray you enjoy the darkness of January, stay warm, keep the Christmas lights up a little longer to enjoy their light in the darkness, and remember it's a new year and so many things are possible with Jesus in your heart and God leading your way.
